I have a high fever and probably shouldn;t be on the computer now, but I love fevers. I love when the physical crosses the border to the mental,, and everything looks and feels surreall, and time has no meaning. this is the way life should be,… who needs stability of mind??? I can’t remember why I dreamed of CM and why I was so convinced that she was plotting tpo confess to JS that I was madly in love with him (which I was four years ago!)and that she was sending me phone text messages. Dreams and medications, and all of these strong ffeelings (panic, love, anger) cross borders until I can;t tell them apart… the memories mix…you know I don’t even know myself! do you know that I can hallucinate for no reason at all, without anything inside my body?

I don’t even know my own words or thinking. sdid you know that? II forget myself constantly. I don’t know why I’ve done the things I’ve done, and that’s the reason why I can be so distant and objective withmyself…. because I’m so divorced from myself..

i’m not myself and never have been anybody, friends will disagree but when was the only time I haven’t acted? ive never been myself without being unconscious, so here i am now, splling myself to you, is this it? is my ture self this?

also, fevers to me have been always romantic. the tears pouring from my eyes, needing someone to care for me, the chills and swqeating. hot and cold, love, burning, crying, nausea, otherworld. swollen. it’s very romantic.

Love, drugs, injury, sensory deprivation (bdsm), sleeplessness, panic, starvation, medication, meditation,illness/fever, exercise, dreaming, art.

these are all gods.

Having a tough time telling them apart?

“Israel builds a separation wall, as Germany did, as the United States does between here and Mexico, as the rich do between themselves and the rest of us. I am not a believer in borders. I have been mistaken for Italian, Puerto Rican, Arab and Muslim, but I am a suburban Jew who sought out hip-hop cultural space across red lines and Chicago segregation. I learned borders are to be contended and crossed. Israel believes in borders. Israel practices apartheid. On one side, irrigated lawns and swimming pools in illegal Israeli settlements. On the other side, Palestinian disenfranchisement, denied access to drinking water, medical assistance, jobs, the ability to earn an income or vote in the country that governs them, that limits their movement with passports, checkpoints and curfews and closes them into open-air prisons. I cannot be in favor of these practices, nor the state that enacts them. These practices are to be resisted, protested and pushed against. Those whose bodies are legislated against, contained, detained and maimed by state-sanctioned terror are to be stood with and listened to.

I am a Jewish person who stands with Palestinian people relegated to second-class citizenship and Israeli soldiers who refuse to enact racist militarism. I am not a nationalist; therefore I am not a Zionist. I am against the oppression of any person and people. I am not a builder of walls. I believe in equity and democratic practice, therefore I am not pro-Israel. I am an advocate for truth, justice and reconciliation. I believe in this.”

November 29th: International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People

December 10th: Human Rights Day

December 27th: A year since the Gaza massacre

The demonstrations in November will be in front of the Israeli consulate and the ones in December will be in front of the U.N.. I can’t make it to NYC on Human Rights Day but I’ll be with the crowd on Nov. 29th and Dec. 27th.

Also, I will be fasting for one week, from the 27th of December to the 2nd of January.

omg!!!

“Completely unfounded”, huh? Oh, you’re just ASKING for it….

1.) You get angry that Arabs call your state the Zionist entity, but don’t mind denying the very existence of Palestine.

2.) You think the concept of a Master Race is atrocious, but you don’t mind the idea of the Chosen People.

3.) You think Hitler was a monster for stealing land in Eastern Europe where “Aryans” used to live, but you don’t mind massive Jewish immigration into Palestine based on religious fables from 4,000 years ago.

4.) You call people antisemitic when people compare you to Nazis, but you don’t mind embracing ethnic nationalism, land annexation, and ethnic cleansing because those are just part of Jewish liberation.

5.) You say Palestinians are really just Jordanians and Egyptians, but you’d be offended if we called Israelis Russians or Germans or [insert country] instead of Israelis.

6.) You think that Hitler’s war machine rolling through Europe is not justified for “preserving Germany”, but you don’t mind that Israel struck pre-emptively in 1967, avoided peace talks and had a history of attacking its neighbors.

7.) You call Jewish suicide bombers of the 1948 war patriots and heroes, but you can’t fathom why a Palestinian might blow himself up after his house has been demolished.

8.) You think the Jewish ghettos in Poland during the Holocaust were a human rights crisis, but you have no problem starving Palestinians from food in Gaza and walling them in in the West Bank.

9.) You say Israel is the lone democracy in the Middle East, but don’t mind having pro-Israel groups like AIPAC or the AJC screw up the democratic traditions of the USA.

10.) You say Israel is the freest country in the Middle East, but you don’t mind when Israeli troops fire at courageous Jewish anti-occupation protesters in Bi’lin or orthodox Jews in Jerusalem.

11.) You think the Jews should be able to freely celebrate their heritage, but you think the Palestinian flag (raised 30 years before Israel was even created in 1948) is antisemitic.

12.) You think aerial bombardments, house arrest, land annexation, and other forms of collective punishment are “defensive,” but you consider suicide bombings “inhumane” and “terroristic”.

13.) You consider it antisemitic when Nazis and racists identify Jews with the State of Israel, but you have no problem identifying Jews with the state of Israel yourself.

14.) You would be horrified if someone told you that Nazism is in the blood of the German people, but you don’t mind the idea that all Jews should support the State of Israel.

15.) You hate antisemites, but you think Jews don’t have enough individualism or moral consciousness to disagree with Israeli policy without being “self-hating Jews”.

16.) You think the Palestinians hate democracy, but you don’t mind assassinating democratically elected Palestinian leaders AND democratically elected Israeli leaders like Yitzhak Rabin.

17.) You believe in the “right to return” of Jews to a country they’ve never been to, but not if the Jewish person is critical of Israel (i.e. Norman Finkelstein).

18.) Expressions like “the supremacy of the nation,”"the sanctity of our historic values,” “the cradle of our ancient culture,’”"the eternity of war and the sanctity of blood” are common, as is “gentile” for “cattle.”

19.) You create conflict with neighboring countries and seek to dominate them and drive out unwanted ethnicities (i.e Lebanon and soon Iran). You also consistently break ceasefires and continue this genocide because you know the U.S. will back you up thanks to AIPAC and neoconservative thugs.

20.) You’ve built up to 400 nuclear weapons and have refused to acknowledge them or sign the nuclear non-proliferation treaty.

How to Achieve Peace in the Middle East

(brought to you by humanitarians pro-Israel Americans!)

Honestly, I have no comment. Blumenthal does a great job. Just watch.

“Cuz they’re pro-western and everything so… you know… don’t want to get killed one day by the crazy people”

“It’s comin’ to America”

“There’s not a number involved”

“Till they wipe them all out.. yeah they gotta go strong with this”

“Only one way to deal with the cancer.. only one thing you can do, you burn it out or you remove it”

“No matter how long, they must be bombed!”

“We have a very intelligent way of goin’ about it … we have the greatest intelligence out there”

“Ya gotta get ‘em out even if there are women are children.. otherwise no peace… we have to fight them”

“Dude it’s a repeat.. ummm we’re being persecuted AGAIN, for the TRILLIONTH time EVER!”

“Sheerly by the grace of god… those who are dying are suffering god’s wrath”

I’ve declared my concentration and decided on my major! I don’t finalize my major until February but it’s going to be illustration. I met with the HPSS department coordinator and registered for a concentration in German studies :) Now they’ll have no choice but to fit me in the Brown language classes, ha!

The good part about declaring a concentration so soon is being able to pre-register for classes (meaning you’re guaranteed admission) so I don’t need to worry.

RISD is affiliated with 44 institutions in 22 countries for exchange programs. I’m looking at this school in Zürich: http://www.zhdk.ch/ and this one in Amsterdam: http://www.gerritrietveldacademie.nl/

Dutch & Schweizerdeutsch are both close enough to “real” German (haha, NOT) but I’ve always wanted to live in Amsterdam or Zürich!!!!!!  Both capitals are so beautiful!!!! God knows what would happen to me if I go to Amsterdam. Zürich I’ll be fine but Amsterdam is just crazy….

I’m an alligator, I’m a mama-papa coming for you
I’m the space invader, I’ll be a rock ‘n’ rollin’ bitch for you
Keep your mouth shut, you’re squawking like a big monkey bird
And I’m busting up my brains for the words

such a holy place to be…..

Made entirely out of toothpaste and coffee:

toothy

I even used a toothbrush to paint it :) What an experience! I just bought six big tubes of Gleem (cheap toothpaste) and am using colored ink to mix a variety of hues. My entire room smells like mint!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought multipurpose varnish which saves anything (even chocolate syrup, which is another medium I was using as paint yesterday). I wonder how far you can take mixed media.

I wonder….

Ten observations:

1). Don’t read the Introduction.

2.) Don’t read the instructions.

3.) When buying an embarrassing product from CVS, throw a candy bar in there. It’s a great neutralizer.

4.) Everybody is a big child.

5.) Carrying a clipboard makes you look professional.

6.) Don’t let people know how much you know; instead watch them.

7.) Men who regularly wear prescription glasses and men who don’t look equally as attractive when they switch appearances.

8.) You can identify with almost anything, including le petit beurre.

9.) An adjustment is just a euphemism for an alteration; small things make all the difference.

10.) You can be bored and busy at the same time.

Things are going really well lately and everything’s settled in.

I still have no time management skills at all and am pulling several all-nighters a week, but my moods haven’t been so manic/depressive and that’s partially due to a little “magic medicine” called ███████.

I’m addicted but I don’t care. Technically I can die at any moment (an outcome that’s almost been met several times in der Naher Osten and alongside moving vehicles) and this is the Moon’s way of telling me that I’m being watched over.

(I worship the Moon now.)

Life is gonna be alright. Everything is great. Everything has suddenly become more beautiful and relaxing — the classes are still pretty demanding but my mental state is under control. The world is open. I feel like running the entire city tonight but my lungs won’t be able to take it.

I hope everyone else is happy too. As Bowie sings:

I’m happy, hope you’re happy too
I’ve loved all I’ve needed, Love

Ashes to ashes, funk to funky
We know Major Tom’s a junkie
Strung out in heaven’s high
Hitting an all-time low

Loyalty?

Loyalty is nonsense — to causes and to people. Why? Because both change. You shouldn’t be a hypocrite, sure, but if the thing you’ve promised to be loyal to changes, how does that make any sense? It’s not the same thing you swore on. Just think of regimes and countries becoming corrupt. Everything is constantly changing so you can’t promise on anything. You can’t believe in something too fully — and loyalty means being tied to a chair and not moving an inch of your body or mind.

How is that honorable? What does “honor” even mean? Please explain it to me.

You also have to take things on a case-by-case basis. You can’t generalize and say: “This is the rule and the law set in stone” because the stone you’re setting those laws on is probably growing moss, or being chipped away, or perhaps even rolling down a cliff.

I’m a pragmatic idealist. The only “realistic” part of me is the one that accepts and acknowledges how the world must be dealt with. You can still do that without sacrificing fantasy. But the games people play and the words & terms (loyalty, commitment, honor, respect) they create to justify the “reality” of the utopia is careless; anyone can create a world with laws. Anyone can create words that sound legitimate and are never questioned. But the world that most people choose to live by isn’t THIS world, it’s not realistic, and more importantly: it’s not working with your desires.

I’m not going to be loyal to anything; even if loyalty means having a sense of stability, safety, or comfort. People need to tolerate themselves, be less needy and less dependent. You need to be a little stubborn too. I’m not going to restrict my opportunities because it’s expected of me as part of a pre-written “tradition.” Life is too short for silly games or contracts.

We’re imperfect creatures. Fighting or denying that simply leads to pain.

Loyalty means nothing. Easily-hurt people who can’t accept that things change (women) and want everything to be “just the way it is” forever are setting themselves up for pain. You don’t want pain — nobody wants pain. All humans need is honesty and tolerance. Accept who we are, don’t be possessive, don’t be jealous and just relax. Life isn’t a Barbie storybook and God isn’t going to punish you.

Women tend to be more like that, I think. Women expect loyalty, and that’s due to socialization (not biology). You want to play caveman with me? How many cavemen do you think “stuck around”? Au contraire, women only wanted your sperm for the baby! Nietzsche also makes this point (in Zarathustra).

You shouldn’t be afraid of change, you should embrace it! That’s what’s so wonderful about life; its opportunities, its chances, its continuous potential. Why settle with one thing, one belief or idea, when you can multiply your existence and be reborn like the Phoenix??? You should never be singular!

Don’t accept the death brought by promises!

2 second manifesto

I’m so happy to be alive.

I love everyone, I love everybody for being here and reading this and I love strangers, too. I love life so much. I feel so relaxed. Everybody is so beautiful.

I want to live like this forever, always.

Jamming to David Bowie and standing in the cold. I smell like raspberries, haha.

Peace :)
